Dawson Moore lives and works on his family’s sixth-generation farm in Harbor Springs, Michigan, where green woodcraft became a full-time pursuit after he began carving spoons in 2014. He harvests local trees and works green wood with traditional hand tools, often exploring how the material itself reveals the logic of each form. His curiosity has expanded over the years from spoons to stools and chairs, often drawing on modern designs. Dawson is passionate about making craft accessible and enjoys helping students build confidence, develop skill with hand tools, and discover the quiet satisfaction of working directly with wood.
